I had all four out under a general nearly 30 years ago, and I remember it distinctly.... If I had only had two out that time, I would certainly still have the other two!!
It all sort of healed up with a sliver of jawbone sticking out the side and irritating my cheek (and me) somewhat. The surgeon jabbed his finger in and gave it a wiggle, which near floored me with pain - then he just got his A-grade sidecutters and nipped it off at gum level. No problems since...

My son's ones were not growing upwards they where growing sideways, in other words they were lying horizontally.

I still have my wisdom teeth, but I think they all have little holes in them, as wisdom teeth are actually softer than normal teeth.

The Dental Hospital gave Brendon a medical certificate for a week. His face has swollen up more today. The side that he had the impacted tooth is up a lot more than the other side.
And it look like it is starting to bruise, which they say can happen. Just keeping him dosed up with pain killers. Heather

Still got mine. Plenty room in my mouth for them now tho. Have only got 15 teeth left. Had bad oral hygene as a kid and worse when i was a young man and a few bad dental visits with not very competant dentists. They used to work to a price where i was growing up.

You will have to avoid certain activities that raise your blood pressure, like sports running etc, strenuous activity as bleeding is a problem until it heals sufficiently.
