    Hadn’t thought of that.
Probably a poor assumption on my part the Perth area would be all over that aspect

Seriously though, that is helpful info.
I found stats showing location/ residence of prison inmates prior to incarceration, which as expected, support a majority of info in the links you provided.

And check the council regs for whatever suburb you are interested in. Feathered friends who announce the start and end of the day are generally banned or restricted in the metropolitan area.

    cheers

Thanks for this. I should be more informative. I have a Cockatoo, Lorikeet, Port Lincoln and Cockatiel. My searches show most local bylaws mention poultry and noise from roosters, dogs, cats, mess from pigeons etc.
Nothing directly related to my birds (they have relevant permits) aside from the obvious potential for noise and responsibilities for cleanliness and good care.
Ill check with local councils when we consider a property location.
I have no desire to offend neighbours and the birds are not like roosters. They (cockatoo mainly) like a bit of a squawk for a few mins or so daily.
Hoping to get a property with a few trees on/nearbye. If the area has native birds ie Galahs, Cockatoos, Parrots Id be surprised if my guys would cause offence.
Any chance you are aware of a local law/s you could direct me to?

Take a look at The Vines.
This is a housing development at the top of the Swan Valley, built around a large golf course.
Larger blocks of land and some great houses not on top of each other.
With the decrease in housing prices, there is a few available in your budget.
Im on the fringe of The Vines, it takes me 45 mins to get to Jandakot. Perth airport is a comfortable 30 mins.
Soon to be quicker, when North Link is completed and takes you direct to Airport via the Tonkin Fwy.

Arriving in Perth around 18th August.
I’m thinking of renting a room or granny flat for around 12 ish weeks.
Birds will stay with my son til we sort a suitable property.
Mrs Strangy will arrive after then. Hopefully have a shortlist or possible decision then or shortly after.
