Really? There weren’t any restriction when I crossed it years ago.

Did you see them hooning across a dune through the vegetation around the 2 min mark?

I think that was pretty irresponsible. Damaging the environment for no reason and giving the impression you can come over to Australia, rip up our environment for your own fun and **** off back home without a care.

I just think wherever you travel you should remember you are a visitor and show a bit respect, to both the environment and local population.

To see that tosser crapping on in the first video about how there’s nothing out there and then see that just gives me the irrits.

    Makes Russell Coight look good.

    Cheers,
    Jon

Yeah did see that bit......looked like it was right next to the track and agree not needed. Although they might have been having trouble with the condition of the track and opted for a new approach

I think you’re giving them more credit than they’re due.

Maybe.......I’m sure I could fine dozens YouTube clips of Aussie doing the exact same thing on the Simpson.

It appears that fires are permitted in S.A, but not in Qld.

Sadly yes.. but you would expect a “professional explorer” (tic) to be a bit more respectful.

It's a Mercedes Benz promotional video and they would have paid for the lot.

The blogger would have approached them with the idea and they went for it.

Sort of like when I gave Hans Tholstrup a R80GS to ride around the World.

The Mercedes would have been evaluation vehicles for ADR or army appraisal.

Good publicity, none seemed to break down and all those outside Australia would have gone wow! it's so remote.
Notice they never had other vehicles in the shots, which must have been difficult.
I pity the poor bloke who had to listen to his crap all day. US journalist?

    Regards Philip A
