Did you get the one on the left at Aldi - they do the same - using colours or words that in a quick glance makes the buyer think they are buying a known brand.

That's one of the reasons I buy my bits from you, Mario! Leave these sort of headaches to you and Heather!

By definition even a counterfeit part is a genuine part , it just does not say 'Genuine counterfeit part' on the box.

That'd be like a "known unknown" or an "unknown known", wouldn't it?

I noticed there are some ads on ebay where seller has "Vendor Known" in the brand section.
Makes you wonder how they do not know where they buy their stock from.

Heres another example. I make a diff lock computer upgrade for Iveco 4x4 , sort of cottage industry thing, very niche. They are controlled by Arduino Due development board.

One of the Boards is genuine from RS Components $55.00 , One is from eBay China $12.00 . Both have the same processor chip , one is marked with R one TM, both have "made in Italy" .

The cheap one passes the software check & passes the bench test but has a random startup glitch in the truck. Obviously I only use the genuine item in customers trucks.
