Thread: Don't know about Law & Order - but, I"M STUFFED!

About 10 weeks ago my assistant manager resigned, no problem, we have 4 weeks for him to get me up to speed & I will immediately advertise for a new assistant manager.
No sooner did he resign than we had an upheaval at another business our organisation owns, so off he went for his 4 weeks notice working else where & I never did get as run down on what he did. (I know what he did, I just had never done it & didn't know his systems.
The new assistant manager arrived but we have had other issues. The tourist started & we have been flat tack, a heap of money (Mine Royalties) came in so up business again, so I have had limited time to train her & even the things I have gone over with her she is not picking up as quickly as I would like.

So for 10 weeks I have worked 7 days a week 9-11 hours a day except for 1 day I came in an hour late.

I'm getting buggered! I think I'm getting cranky (SWMBO says "No change, always cranky.) And I'm starting to make silly mistakes I have to go back & correct. It's all getting a bit frustrating.

Anyway, I have a cunning plan!! I think I will advertise for another person/couple, 1 to manage our kitchen (that takes a lot of time) & if they have a partner he/she would be a grounds person come handy person come general roustabout.

So, if you want to live just West of Nowhere, in a Donga, for average pay & work stupid hours there is a job going. Not forgetting the heat & flies.

BTW I am having tomorrow off, sort of. I'm diving 1 of our kids up to Burketown to catch the plane back to school, picking up some stock, having a meeting & getting some change. Sort of a day off?

PS I am hoping to have 10 days off next month to drive to Brisbane & back, Yep, 6 days driving the D2, that should be relaxing.

No dates yet but probably mid August.
I will have 2 or 3 of the tribe with me.

Now, for reasons to complicated to go into, our airport has closed so I may end up with that on my plate as well!

I'm beginning to thing I'm not paid enough.
