If you have the clearance straight out of the unit into the muffler then no dramas there. It would have ended up too close to the ground on mine had I done that, but there is no reason you can’t no. My unit is mounted close to the LH wall near the door. The exhauset then goes towards the centre of the van, with the muffler on the end which exits just past halfway across the van.
Was going to take pics of mine but there was nothing to see - the hole I cut was approx 63 x 150mm overall - I used a 63mm holesaw in 2 places and cut out between them - the metal plate that the unit mounts on covers it all up and gives around 20mm clearance from and timber to the exhaust.
Yep I used 70mm, i ended up changing mounting spot to under seat, it will blow the hot air out beside bed to rear of van, I may put hole for inlet under table if they are inlet air hungry.
The bottom side is in between my 2 water tanks, so I was thinking of just muffler strait down or I could run a bracket in between the tanks and mount off that.
I cant run it rear warf as yhe axle and spring is in the way. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...42adab8a21.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4f4f7a306e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c71db9ccb7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8785aa3847.jpg
Can anyone please tell me which is the positive side of the fuel pump?
Cheers Rob
I'm wondering if someone would be kind enough to check which side of there desiel heater fuel pump is positive.
Both the wires are yellow on mine, I cut up plug as I thought there was a short in plug, there wasn't unfortunately.so when new plug arrives I wanna get it right.
I can power either side via power pack and it pumps, so I'm a bit confused.
Any help would be appreciated.
Rob
if its a 2 wire facet, it doesnt matter, they pump the same way regardless of polarity. some of the knock offs pump better on a certain polarity, I'd just eyeball it off of a bit of hose into a jerry and try it both ways.
Oky doky thanks [emoji106]
Understand. Both of mine were green. When I cut them, to enable me to run through a smaller hole in the floor, I cut them at different lengths to ensure that I retained the correct orientation.
Doesn't help you now but might jog someone elses memory when they need to do it.
I did exactly same thing, then when I connected everything up it would not prime, so under I went again checking with test light etc, thought plug had a short as I was getting power to both wires when connected to pump, disconnect and all normal, anyway I cut up plug for nothing, as it sounds like i stuffed up priming sequence from the start oh well live and learn, hopefully [emoji6]
