    MoveLater2 Diesel heaters for caravans

Yep soft, but comfort is what we are after.
So cheap or $2000, is the question.
It's hard to justify big bucks when you see the market flooded with this cheap stuff, is it any good and does it go the distance, any one got them and there thoughts would be appreciated.
Just read about the fridge topic and wonder if these diesel heaters would be the same, wife and I are going away for 12 months or so end of 2019 and want set up right hopefully.
Also thinking of removing Herron air con unit and putting a split system in, i have heard good things about this also.

when I spent a couple years in Broome, for the first wet season we used the roof mount aircon and our power bill was $50 a week and it was only used when in the van which meant coming home to a hot and sticky van. I then fitted a reverse cycle unit, run it 24/7 and the power bill dropped to $20 a week. The wife use to make it that cold at times I would sleep in the annex.
    cheers

You know my thoughts mate. 😊

My cheapy works like a charm, but it is only for infrequent use - maybe one or two weekends a year, so longevity is unknown...

The cheapies work fine, like a previous comment I figured I could buy a half a dozen of the cheapies for the price of one Webasto or Eberspacher. I woke at 5am for a pee and it was -2C inside and -6C outside so turned it on lowest setting and when I woke at 7am it was comparitively pleasant at 12C. Turning it up to about halfway took the temp up to 19C within 10 minutes. Not bad with the heat loss of the poptop and minimal insulation in the walls and windows when outside was -7.5C!

Just search for diesel heater on eBay. My 5kw was close to $300 a few months ago now I notice them for less than $250.
I used it for a week near Canberra in July, it used 10l of diesel and made the van toasty at night and in the mornings. I was wearing a singlet and pants but the floor was cold with bare feet.
