Tiger sharks are on the threatened species list - mostly due to finning operations.
If we kill all the tiger sharks, there'll be nothing to keep the turtle population in check. Then everyone will complain about their fibreglass boats getting holed by "rogue" turtles! The law of unintended consequences lies in wait for people who think they can solve what they see as "problems" in the natural world, by eliminating a species.
Unless you are drunk, drugged or plain stupid, you don't play on a road where there is a lot of traffic - applying the same logic to swimming seems like a no-brainer! Why blame the sharks or crocs for doing what they're designed to do?
