I guess humans are lucky that none of the other animal species knowingly try and cull us , as we continually expand our dominance of the landscape.

The drought in rural areas might be forcing some into semi-urban areas seeking green grass.

We were in Thargomindah a few weeks ago and there were dozens of kangaroos in the town, people watering their lawns provides the only green pick for miles around. I assume the awns are being watered from bores.

Broken Hill has emus coming into the town to feed.

Some people are actually putting water bowls out for them to drink.

    Should we interfere?

We dont stop wild cats , wild pigs , goats , deer and foxes from destroying natural habitat and killing native animals.

    People are funny.

No drought here. Just lots of roos bouncing across the regional highways.

    More Roo's about

We went camping at Lake Conjola last weekend. It's definitely not in drought there !
First time we been there in about 3 years and the roo population in the park must have tripled.
They are a real pain trying to steal food, going through bins at night, crapping everywhere and they dont care about human presence.
I blame the idiots who deliberately feed them and take selfies doing it.

I live on somerton road on like 400 acres, this morning putting up my driveway. A mob of about 20 were hopping in front of me so I take it nice and slow hoping they go into another paddock. What do they do? Hop straight onto somerton road in front of traffic none got hit this time lucky but it happens daily. We're lucky to get a permit for 10 a year it's not even worth it. Too many trapped in that area between mickleham road and Oakland's road. I've heard they cull at woodlands but I've never heard any gunfire.
Getting over putting the poor bastards out of their misery flapping around on the side of the road. It's not a good look on me either but thats half the reason I joined WV at least i have that ID tag now that even the fuzz obey lol
