This is a very nice example though not quite original & I drought t is worth the money. If it is worth that much I have my 80" C/N 0610 1462 IMAG2199.jpgIMAG2198.jpgIMAG2200.jpg well under insured . I have only just trebled what I had mine insured for & it is still only 1/3 of that amount now .
The steering wheel appears to be the correct 2 bar one though. I notice the horn is mounted in the wrong place but can not see if it is the correct horn . The seats & seat backs seam to be different colours. I am not sure if the engine colour is correct , I thought all the 80's had a (GM Blue) blue/green colour. I was wondering how they engage 4WD in reverse there is no yellow knob & no hole in the floor for the ring pull . It seams to have different month wheels 7th & 8th month but that could have been correct from the factory using up old rims , mine has all 5 rims 10th 49 rims.
The thing I find most annoying with it is under the bonnet it looks like they have sprayed everything with clear Laker to tart it up to sell . Problem with doing that is once it gets a bit of heat under the bonnet the Laker will yellow & look awful. I also wonder if it is roadworthy or will need another $10,000 or more spent on it to get it registered.
But as I said at the start nice clean , straight example but I think at that price I am not sure it would be a good investment. I could be wrong & have been before but that's my two bobs worth.![]()

Wasn't the Series l originally 6V?
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
S1s were 12volt. I see in add they state it is January 1949 but wheels are stamped 7th 49 so either rims have been replaced or not a Jan 49.
