Chuck some sugar on the ground. The ants will swarm and bite him.

Years ago I and my gf were camped on the Dargo on a nice flat about 3 or 400 metres long IIRC. We were the only ones there. Just on dark one night a convoy of about 5 4wds comes in, drives to the far end of the flat and has a look and then comes back and startes setting up spitting distance from my car. I couldnt believe it - I went straight over to the nearest car and said to the bloke - not hiding my anger - "couldnt you park any ****ing closer" and just stood there. They duly moved down to an equally good spot about 100meteres away. Honestly I have no idea how people end up with no sense of personal space, bush courtesy or common sense. I have also had words when a camper set up a car width from me elsewhere..I asked him to move before he setup and he refuse...amazed and dumbfounded, I moved. I really dont get it that people go bush and sit on top of other people by choice....

Not at all. Councils use it to discourage troublemakers from staying in parks.

    You nailed it mate.

    My rules when i camp.

    First in first served.
    Maintain a respectful distance.
Clean up every item you drop or see. Leave it better than you found it basically.
If there are others keep a low profile after 10-12pm unless you word them up.
Always say hello by hand gesture of going over to say hello.
Fires need to be under control all the time.
Never put glass or steel or anything stupid like that in fires.
Give any left over wood to other campers when you leave.

There is probably others i abide by but cant think of them at the moment.
Pretty much every camper around here anyway seems to have a similar thought process.

    Bush courtesy.

You were obviously brought up camping
Same ethic i was taught growing up as a youngster and have passed onto my children and others lucky enough to camp with us

This has happened to us a number of times, people that do it are unreasonable & have an inability to think rationally . We usually pack up and leave rather than confrontation which can get out of hand.

Now we camp covertly , well away from view of any road or track . And never within 500m of anyone else we see, more like 5 -10. Km.
