Went with the "Light of My Life" once, who wasn't going to buy anything but just wanted a look through the place. Never again! I still "Talk" about that hour out of my life if she raises the question of another visit

My worst nightmare. There are short cuts to take to cut the extricating pain we feel being subjecting to forced Nordic advertising.
Draugar.jpg feel like The draugr during a visit? I did!

The short cuts are worth demanding on a clear map before entry! Running the other way when seeing the short cuts would still be a better idea.

Hope the trauma fades mate. A long drive on a dusty or muddy road should help.

Last time I went there with my daughter we knew what we wanted bht had to go through whole store to order it then to check out to pay , that killed 1.5 hours , were then told we had to go down the road to warehouse to pick up. When we arived at the wearhouse we were told it would take 1hr for them to pick it which ended up being 1.5hrs. Grrrrrrrr. The 1st time I went by my self , I was told just follow the arrows on the floor works well untill you come to an intersection with arrows pointing booth ways , I ended back at the start 3 times.

It's a bloody trap!! I've told everyone... NEVER AGAIN!!!

And most of is tomorrow's landfill. Save up longer, buy better quality, buy less.

Is far too stressful an experience. Layout stops you going in and buying what you want then exiting. We came here to buy a wardrobe so why do I want to look at a lounge or kitchen? Wife had me paged over the PA as she could not find me and thought I had escaped the store and abandoned her there.

Well, we put it all together yesterday and I have to say I’m pretty happy with it. Yes, it is lower quality than other furniture, but not as bad as other ‘cheap’ stores stuff by a long way and the design is half decent. The tables particularly impressed me and are strong and sturdy and look great. The bedroom stuff is good for the price - much better quality than some other stuff we’ve bought and when you're on a tight budget, you get a lot for your money.

Will just order it online next time and have it delivered though...
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

I showed this thread to SWMBO and she suggested that one day we should go to an Ikea store for this experience.

Definitely not to purchase anything though.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
