After several dirt road rollovers the reps jacked up, went on strike, and refused to drive them.
I’ve had company vehicles for over 20 years now - I’ve never cared what I got, new, used, how many cylinders, etc. All company cars are good cars - they’re free and free to run. Personally I get the ****s with the reps that whine about what they get given. I’ve had some shockers over the years but I’ve never complained because at the end of the day a free car is a good car. A rollover means the driver wasn’t driving to conditions IMO - I’d get rid of the Rep, not the car.

Which then begs the question,, what does Scott know about the area

In concern with these sorts of incidents,, I’ve been waiting for years to see the so called “advertised” inspectors walk through our doors. Reckon he’d have a field day

Totally agree.....the number of people that seem to dislike my choice of company car amazes me....

    1. I don’t get a choice
    2. They don’t have a company car

    Mind boggling.......

I worked at a place for a few years , where management would call everyone to a meeting , tell us that a surprise workplace inspection was imminent, so spend the day getting the place sorted. Sure enough , next day a clean bill of health.

    Yep.
I couldn't understand the whingeing when I got to Canberra.
We had near new BT50's with the 3.2 or a couple of blokes had V6 Hilux's.

Fully fueled, personal use all good, we only had to fuel up if we left the rough approximation of Canberra.
    How good is that!

Yet a couple of blokes just wouldn't stop whingeing and tried to rope me in.
"You only have a single cab, you're a senior tech/quasi management, you should have a dual cab, the young blokes should have the singles"

I couldn't give a stuff, other than the back seat is a great place to store stuff.

In the present job the boss apologised when I joined as it's a basic Hilux with 180,000km on it.
I love the 2.7 petrol, I have a ball punting it around the northern rivers.
It's just tiring on a trip as its a bucket load noisier than the BT and has no bloody cruise control! Let alone intermittent wipers or a heated rear screen....
    Basic Toyotas are basic
