unfortunatly, its a choice between bunnings or mitre 10. and the bunnings range is better.

You're lucky you still have the choice. I supported our Home Hardware store until the day it closed - due to lack of patronage once Bunnings came to town. Sure their range wasn't as big, but their prices for timber, etc were competitive and cheaper in some areas. Now they're gone everyone whinges there's no competition but they only have themselves to blame.
Frosts Timber yard @ Riddells Creek is great !
Will offer advice , cut fancy fenceposts and deliver - have all the extra bits n bobs required , not a full hardware but close .
I've been using a lot more of the local suppliers and finding most are same price or cheaper - car stuff - it can save me a 50km round trip to Sunbury .
I've been supporting the local home Hardware lately, bunnings is always crowded, , you risk a prang in the car park . the local home hardware deliver my goods for $12.50 so not worth me taking my trailer down to bunnings and queuing to get in and out. Home hard ware staff are more courteous , they deliver and unload and carry my stuff and place it where I want it. Prices are comparable if a few cents dearer I'll rather pay to support a local business.
I did have to go to bunnings last week and got a sausage, another customer wanted extra onions and asked for them on top, the volunteer said "Sure ,no probs just don't go inside the shop".
Turn the bread over. Then they are on the bottom. Maybe you have to emboss one slice with "eat this way up "
I grabbed a couple of sausages at Bunnings last week and noticed that the snags were a lot shorter than usual and the price went up from $2 to $2.50[bigwhistle]
