Looking at the crash site,and the wreckage,it may have been instant.

Did he somehow manage to go over that concrete barrier without doing major damage to it?

In the video the cab doesnt look too crushed(?). The forces and risk of say head injury would seem to have been significant.

There are dozens of reasons how or why the tragedy happened, but the burning question is why didn't Lindsay Brothers notice the truck missing? LBs specialise in time sensitive, produce. All their vehicles would be fitted with MT data, or similar, that monitors the trucks' speed and position.

Yes, it looks from the tyre marks,and damage to the barrier,but i am not the expert,that it went over the concrete barrier,which isn't very high.
The tyre marks start in the left lane.

A very sad situation,and condolences to the family,as Ian has said.

Those concrete barriers and Armco railings may keep cars on the road, but often turn a minor issue, for motorcycles or trucks, into a major or fatal event.

If the tyre marks start in the left lane, my first thought is that maybe a brake lost air pressure and locked up, and things went bad from there.

Agree it’s strange the LB didn’t know the truck had come to a stop.....but I’m also guessing the monitoring systems have glitch’s from time to time.
