I can easily imagine what would happen if I proposed that.

That’s the day we lost everything we owned in the St Patrick’s day bushfire - not going to forget that day now!

I am lucky as we were married in Russia and we had two ceremonies, one in the church and one two days later in the "legal" civil office so if I forget one I can say I was going to remember the other one, that said, we both forgot a couple of times while travelling around in Russia so its all good

33 years and neither of us has forgotten. It was a pretty significant and special day of my life so how anyone could forget it escapes me.

Ours is two days after ANZAC day. This was due to my footy team playing on this day, which was a Thursday, freeing up the following Saturday to get married.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

So Bruce Dawe was correct when he wrote in his poem "Life Cycle" about Victorians organising events like weddings around football matches.

    One verse says:

And the tides of life will be the tides of the home-team’s fortunes
    – the reckless proposal after the one-point win,
the wedding and honeymoon after the grand final …

The rest of the poem can be seen here.

But I still often forget the relevance of the RegoPlate

Great photo GB. The marriage of old and new (aww) Marriage of man and machine.

I’ve never been married, I don’t think. ....hang on a minute...nah definitely, never married.

We haven’t felt the need. But I’d forget for sure!
