This is not to be confused with the Holden Commodore which is the Opel Insignia.

Also it would seem the dumping of American crap on the Australian market has started with the release of the Holden Acadia - one of the lowest rating vehicles released in Aust. While the big utes will have a market as will the sport models like the Mustang etc - do we really also have to have the crap US models dumped on us.

Well, we already know you don't like the Mustang, Ford Australia's most popular vehicle apart from the Ranger, but in terms of your "American Crap" comment, apparently you don't want any U.S. GM cars in Aus? Well, being GM, if they aren't designed in the U.S., now that they've sold Vauxhall & Opel, from where would they emanate?
And Acadia, you're giving that a serve, why?...Anyway, you may or may not be right, but I've just bought the latest copy of Wheels, and believe it or not, in a 4 vehicle comparison with Hyundai Santa Fe, Mazda CX9, & Toyota Kluger, the Acadia comes a very close 2nd behind the CX9 which is known to be a pretty good vehicle,...in its class. Will the public buy Acadia?..wouldn't have a clue, but I hope they do.
You're probably already aware that HSV is converting Camaro & Silverado to RHD.
Are there any GM vehicles that you WOULD like to see in Aussie?

Well no - you do seem to get your facts mixed up on a range of topics. Wouldn't want to let the facts in the way of a good story.

I wouldn't have a personal clue about the Mustang - never been in one let alone driven one.

What I said was that my brother says they are crap - a cheap and nasty vehicle despite their price.

He should know as he bought a 5.0 GT Fastback from the very first shipment (after being on order for 18 months) so he has had it for what, 3 years now - covered only about 4000km in that time. Will be sold off shortly.

He is speaking from first hand experience not hearsay.

Wheels certainly says good things about the Acadia. But I'd have the Mazda CX-9.

Never do I get my facts mixed up with respect to any form of motor vehicle discussion,....ever.
Mustang?...Yep, we know you don't like it, and 3 years?.....I couldn't put up with a car that long if it was as bad as you make out., but every man to his own. You may, or not, be aware, that Mustang still continues to attract rave reviews, particularly the soon to appear in Aus, Bullitt edition, which is already a pre-sold sellout in Aus. I'm not particularly a Mustang fan, could've bought one as I love my V8s, Muscle cars etc, but chose to stick with the Aussie product, albeit with a very nice U.S. engine.
What about the rest of the questions I raised?.....that you have chosen to ignore,....not worth answering, probably not worth a mention, as they were raised by a "mere random"?...Yep, I get that too!...Yeah right.
So yeah, how about answering the rest of my post, which you have obviously read but chosen to ignore, .....that would be really good.
Quite happy to go on with this discussion in a reasonable, polite manner, as it is a subject very close to my heart.
All is good, because all of this is only, IMHO of course.
    Pickles.
Later "edit". I do need to say this. I do believe there is some truth in what you say about the "finish" of the Mustang, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it was "cheap & nasty", but it is excellent value for money, if it's a V8 you're after, there's nothing like it at the price.
