Yep, the whole industry is changing.
A sign of the times? most of the workers are working on vehicles with Internal combustion engines. They are still hiring people with skills to make electric powered vehicles.

GM shot themselves in the foot a long while ago and this is the inevitable aftermath. Good old poison dwarf John Cadogan goes into it a fair bit on his YouTube channel, amongst many others who have criticised GM.

Its a global market now. I watched a really good Obama Youtube video which sort of defended the reduction in numbers of manufacturing workers in favour of robotics (the US was making more 'stuff' but with less labour) but I think the GM issue is they build a **** vehicle which the world market wont buy.

That's great. Dinner is a huge business and forward-thinking. That's a big endorsement for the SA government's leadership in endorsing home storage.
Sonnen (stupid auto correct)!
On a side track - Holden have been selling a car called the Holden Insignia for a couple of years now and I think most have never heard of it - I certainly haven't until I spotted one recently.
What is the original car? I have googled it and nothing comes up - is it an Opel or a Korean Daewoo?
This is not to be confused with the Holden Commodore which is the Opel Insignia.
Also it would seem the dumping of American crap on the Australian market has started with the release of the Holden Acadia - one of the lowest rating vehicles released in Aust. While the big utes will have a market as will the sport models like the Mustang etc - do we really also have to have the crap US models dumped on us.

Pretty sure the Holden Insignia is the Opel/Vauxhall Insignia. Opel tried to sell it independently of Holden for a while, but it flopped. The new Commodore is the new Insignia.
