Definetly worth getting if you are in a rabies area, back in my younger days I worked in Zambia and enviros in medical organisation, people who were bit by a rabid dog died a most horrible death ( not nice to see i can tell you), the ironic thing was in those days the morphine we used to "help" them cost far more than the vaccine......... but thats africa and the local conditions at the time.

Don't know what the DFAT site says about rabies & China but a friend of mine died from rabies whilst living in China ~15+ years ago. Was bitten and contracted it from his own pet dog. Little the Chinese wanted to know or do about it, couldn't even diagnose it. He was evacuated to and diagnosed for rabies in Singapore but of course it's all to late by then.

Hello All,
I went back to the chemist that I have been getting the vaccines from and asked them. There was not even a second's hesitation. It is the number shown after the first injection as FROM Day 0.
As in:
- First injection is Day 0,
 - Second injection is 7 days after Day 0; and
 - Third injection is 21 days after Day 0.

So it is injections at 0, 7 & 21 days
Kind regards
Lionel
