Excellent article.
Whilst I couldn't take it all in, just about every aspect of weather was covered.

This is a fairly long read but is a brilliant piece to bring everyone up to date on Australia's current climate and what to expect into the future.
All points and graphs are explained and key points are placed in the margins.

yes, you need to have higher education than I have to take it all in , but the key points certainly make it easier
Sadly it all means nothing if our leadership and the community don’t have the spine, selflessness or creativity to do anything about it.

thank you Slunnie, I appreciate your comment.
its interesting , I have followed this since the first edition of Simply Living came out bringing it to my attention, but it has been totally ignored by most that can effect it.
its also interesting that el nino, la nina and the indian ocean dipole can make such drastic changes in such a short time.
anyway , if that great lump of ice and those that are free break away , I may become very wealthy selling the new gold coast to investors.
"Global warming" Greatest scam ever forced upon the western taxpayer. Purely a vehicle for the transfer of money from the "rich" west to the third world where it'll be immediately banked in Switzerland and the Cayman Islands etc..
Plus it gives plenty of jollies for all those observers who flock to every conference where mostly all they agree on is where to have their next gabfest.
I certainly believe in climate change, nothing we can do about that as the sun controls it, but reckon much much more must be done to stop polluting the earth and seas.
As an example look at the Ganges, India's most holy river. They **** in it, bathe in it, dump their rubbish in it, dump their dead in it and drink it! Don't tell me that's the western worlds problem.
But the atmosphere and gases in it? I doubt we have had that much of an influence on it. Stop denuding the world of forests, stop dumping crap in the sea and earth, recycle where ever possible and stop the worlds massive population explosion.

This is from the North American heat wave "The extraordinary heat wave that scorched the Pacific Northwest last week would almost certainly not have occurred without global warming, an international team of climate researchers said Wednesday.Temperatures were so extreme — including readings of 116 degrees Fahrenheit in Portland, Ore., and a Canadian record of 121 in British Columbia — that the researchers had difficulty saying just how rare the heat wave was. But they estimated that in any given year there was only a 0.1 percent chance of such an intense heat wave occurring." Link
A local heat wave is not climate change. It is not a surprise to see this estimated 0.1% is not natural and is contributed to by our own input. 49.6 degrees in Northern Canada killed more than 200 people this week. Sure they may have been as surprised 0.01 killed them. R.I.P.
This is the problem, most people wouldn't dream of burning wood, coal, anthracite, etc in their fireplace and then throwing the ash over their neighbour's fence, or throw their garbage over the fence, but think nothing of burning fuel in their car without wondering where the exhaust gas goes and even how much is discharged. Say a car has a 70 litre tank, as petrol/diesel is slightly lighter than air we can call it roughly 70kgs when burnt, but bad news, the ratio is not 1 to 1 as this page from a driving test company (unlikely to be raving mad greenie/communist/marxist/leniists) shows Why does burning 1 litre of fuel create over 2kg of carbon dioxide?
