Why doesn't old Phil have a driver? I had to get my old man's licence cancelled on medical grounds when he was too weak to walk down the corridor and back, so Liz needs to do the same to Phil.

See on the local news here that the council is going to reduce the road speed limit from 60 to 50 MPH

Seems this decision is based on the road is a favourite with local 'boy racers' so have reduced the speed limit to make it safer. Am sure the 'boy racers' who ignored the prior speed limit will obey and drive slower

Just saw on the news they already have rolled his new discovery sport off the back of the truck..... apparantly its an exact replica of the one he smashed. Looks like hes keeping his licence after all

Prince Philip has top-of-the-range PS68k Land Rover delivered to Sandringham just hours after nasty crash

To be fair to older drivers, young males are about four times as likely to crash as over 70s, but that could be because most older people progressively limit their driving.
For example, my FIL who is 82 only makes the short trip to the shops and no longer drives linger distances.
However, I could imagine Prince Philip being very difficult to persuade to stop driving. He's an independent old codger.

The new car is pictured as another Freelander not a new Discovery Sport?

Perhaps this replacement car has come from a special stock of prepared cars that are not shall we say as they left the factory.

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
