Looks like a wolf spider to me too. The females when loaded with babys are the scariest looking things, I smashed one thinking it was a funnel web. Thats a male.
If you walk around outside with a head torch and see what looks like bits of green glass reflecting back at you, thems spiders that look like that. There's likely to be millions of the beggars around the house in warm weather.

I'm not keen on Spiders myself, but I did encounter what I thought was a Huntsman in our rubbish bin the other day, so rather than consign him to the rubbish truck I put him back in the garden.
Coming out from the UK where we do not have poisonous spiders it amazed me that when we lived in Toowoomba, I was in Gr 8, many of the boys thought it pretty good to tap around the edge of funnel web spider "holes" in the ground,...which would bring these terrifying spiders to the edge of the hole, with their "fangs" up!..Some of you guys have probably done this,...Not me!
Pickles.
Thats a weather change spider , we use them to tell when a cool change or rain is coming .
They come inside and wander about - harmless and eat the little bugs .
Caught one the other night - i needed a colander to encircle him ( was a stripey one ) took him outside to deposit over the road ,as Bee Utey said the ground was alive with little eyes ........the forest is always watching you !
Every home should have at least a dozen huntsman spiders. Keeps the other insects in line!

I keep telling the females in my family that more spider webs means less flies and mosquitoes, but they're not convinced.
Put a plastic food box over him, then slide a sheet of paper under the box. You can see him in the box through the translucent plastic. Lift box and paper holding it all closed, then let him go outside. Harmless, but scary to some.

Your picture looks more like a huntsman to me
Don.
Looks more like Huntsman to me. The wolf is lighter colour and patterned. Both relatively harmless and fast. Huntsman faster. wolf can bite but not really venomous.
Disco4,
Yes,huntsman for me as well,we have heaps of them around here, big ones, small ones, all different sizes.
The butcherbirds don't mind them either.
I think I am coming around to the huntsman side too. Specifically the Brown Huntsman:
