Is that at Murra Wurra ?
Ballarat and that area is more central Vic, not West. There's a large wind farm being installed just north of Horsham, and several very large solar farms between Horsham and Mildura that are either planned or approved, and my understanding was that they were being located there because of the high power transmission line that runs north of Horsham to SA. They will build connections to that and can then pump energy into the grid.
Interestingly, I was approached a while back to assist a rural local government body that had taken the view that they had enough solar and wind energy resources in their area that it was stupid to be buying energy from outside their area - as they put, it they'd generate locally and keep their money local. They worked out that the total roof area of buildings they owned was massive, so they started putting solar panels on everything and then sold the power locally.

I fixed an issue I was having in my Tdi where I added a scoop to help keep it cool running on hot days with the A/C on.
It worked
so of course .. now tell 'ya grandchildren that heat waves used to be one of those phenomena that happened pre 'AK83's scoop mod'!
It's a new era .. ~35°C tops (that's where I was having issues).

As I sit here at Avoca Beach in the drizzling rain and absolutely no wind, I wonder how much solar power ( or wind power for that matter) is being produced in the entire Central Coast.
The answer to my theoretical question is NONE .

But on the other side of the sandstone curtain - not a cloud in sight, wind a bit light at 10-13knots.
