I keep telling 'er indoors they are just late, but deep down I suspect something more sinister has occurred, & also maybe we are now on the Z List & not the A list anymore? Only a few Pine Trees around here but The Grampians might be a nice place for a sojourn these days. I hope so.

My bet where you are is that a pine plantation or two has been harvested nearby (can happen overnight) and there is no reason for them to hang around.

A rellie is of to NSW start a new Sydney desalination plant expansion. My sister is grumpy. Had a chat re water inflows over the last 10 years at xmas with him. He pointed out the company is likely to be very busy not just in NSW.
Melbourne water prices up thanks to biggest order of desalinated water is old news but not everyone may have noticed.

No single issue can be directly attributed to climate change Bush fires in wet temperate rain forests and tundra which have not burnt for several thousand years or more might be attributable to climate change. I think it is highly likely to be.

I can remember 40+ years ago in the Herald there was a story about a bloke from maybe Horsham? where I was born getting pinged ([biggrin]) big time for stealing eggs and chicks and 'exporting' them to Asia for massive money.
From memory he got something like 10 years. Some retiree on here could look this up.
It took years for me to be able to see some in the Grampians for the first time. Fantastic birds, now common here.
If anyone wants to see them in the Gramps try the Vic Valley around Mair Tk, Henham Tk in May.
