I'm alarmed, particularly about people becoming homeless, but it's a different topic.
As a curious non-expert who has a high regard for science and the process of testing theories, I have a simple choice. Do I believe:

11,000 climate experts who say the science is in and confirms that human activity is worsening the situation and creating a climate emergency
Some non-experts who scoff and rant on about irrelevant trivia

    Pretty easy choice, I think.

In Victorian times, the alarmists were panicking about London being buried in horse manure.
    That didn't happen.
On a news report, yesterday it was stated that the current bushfire situation, in SEQ was the worst ever experienced. What sensationalist crap! I recall fighting fires far more serious.

First it was the Christians who are wrong, the scientists have it right.

Now, the scientists are wrong... because the politicians and big business have it right.

I disagree. Your equation doesn’t include the billions wasted on denying climate change.
We can afford to remedy them all, it’s a matter of priorities.

And if you truly think basic human needs outstrip resources now, when the effects of climate change really hit it will be resources pandemonium.

The horse manure problem was solved when some clever people invented the horseless carriage.

How many of your far more serious fires were in early spring like the ones this year? All the ones I can remember have been late summer fires.

    From Geoscience Australia:

For most of southern Australia, the danger period is summer and autumn. For New South Wales and southern Queensland, the peak risk usually occurs in spring and early summer. The Northern Territory experiences most of its fires in winter and spring.
