Not really. But it has been being worked on for at least the last fifty years. Part of the problem is that malaria is a parasite, not a virus or bacterium, that reproduces rapidly and evolves rapidly.
The only approved vaccine as of 2015 is RTS,S (commercial name Mosquirix). It requires four injections, and has a relatively low efficacy.

A friend got malaria in PNG about 30 years ago and still has outbreaks even now. Apparently he has been told he will have it for life.
I stopped getting recurrences after about twenty years. My late brother in law, who got it there in 1942 stopped getting recurrences in about 1965.
But I don't think there is any guarantee!

There is a new vax for shingles being approved in Oz called Shingrix , supposed to be 90% more effective than zostavax . Quit a lot of info on the net .
