Yep, often spread on the hands, after touching infected areas, so hand washing is very important.

Listening to the ABC today, Anyone over the age of 15 can decide to have vaccinations without Parent approval. A huge spike in vaccinations down Logan way, apparently.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

Not really. But it has been being worked on for at least the last fifty years. Part of the problem is that malaria is a parasite, not a virus or bacterium, that reproduces rapidly and evolves rapidly.

The only approved vaccine as of 2015 is RTS,S (commercial name Mosquirix). It requires four injections, and has a relatively low efficacy.

A friend got malaria in PNG about 30 years ago and still has outbreaks even now. Apparently he has been told he will have it for life.

I stopped getting recurrences after about twenty years. My late brother in law, who got it there in 1942 stopped getting recurrences in about 1965.

But I don't think there is any guarantee!
