series 3 soft top front seat belts vic rwc

Does a 1975 swb 88 series 3 soft top need retractable lap sash seatbelts to pass rwc in vic? if yes then i assume the only way to do this is to install a soft top front seat rear bar ? will this pass rwc in vic? Maybe this belongs in the s3 thread?

No they need Lap or Lap Sash sash belts only, No requirement for retracts .

However I installed Retracts in mine because the bastards keep getting caught & chewed up in the door locks.
Made some nifty brackets that clamp to the hood sticks, & most definitely not engineering approved.

Thanks mate - it has lap belts only. from the factory , there would be no where to mount a shoulder high point in a soft top - so i would assume that this is the way the car left the factory ie with lap belts only. apologies if this is a rehash of an old subject/thread but my search of the forum was not turning much up - probably operator error though
