And remember - if you go down the dealers and buy one today - you'll get a 2017 build car as they still have 18 moths of surplus stock rotting away. Can you imaging the depreciation on that? Drive a car out of the showroom and 6 months later try and sell what is effectively a 2 year old car - kiss 50% of your investment goodbye.

Not sure who'd be dumb enough to buy one to be honest.
I did exactly that with my ranger....bought a $44,000 (current priced at that time) model for $28,000. Some mining company ordered 75 of them , I got lucky

If the dealer is still charging full price for the Holden things , then that is totally wrong.

They are, and they are selling 2 year old vehicles for full price - they should be locked up, it's bloody criminal.

The history of Holden dates back to 1856, when James Alexander Holden started as a saddlery business in Adelaide, South Australia. ... In 1924, the company became the exclusive supplier of American car manufacturer General Motors in Australia. Throughout the 1920s Holden also supplied tramcars for Melbourne.Dec 10, 2013
