The Daly Waters (NT) Dawn Service had one Range Rover parked near by (mine).
I was more impressed by the spectator turnout (30 or more people) and the fact that the RAAF boys managed to put on the ceremony at all, given that they were kicked out of the pub only about 2 or 3 hours prior to the service.

Thank you BigJon, that's the best post I've read in months!!!
I assume the rest were still under a tree somewhere, sorting out the problems of the world with a few bemused crocs.
Is it true the crocs only eat tourists because they don't like the taste of alcohol basted local flesh? (I have a doctor mate who refers to those who drink far too much as 'self embalming', as he changed my liver for the umpteenth time).
Cheers, GQ

I overheard that one of the RAAF boys didn't make it due to self inflicted head pain... I was pretty stoked that they held the service, not much more Australian than a Dawn Service outside a true bush pub. Only bad part was that I had to drive 900 km that day to get back to Alice, so I couldn't stay to partake of the traditional Anzac Day celebrations.
