SWMBO has worked for a couple of firms that supplied major retailers. At one firm the 2IC had spent weeks working on a contract and SWMBO told her "she has wasted her time because when she gets to the meeting they will slap a contract on the table and ask you to sign it". Which is exactly what happened. You play by their rules and their pricing or you don't get your product on their shelves.
