Uncle toby's oat brands dissapear from woolworths shelves

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I worked for Uncle Toby's when Goodman Fielder owned them.

I don't think at the time there were any other companies processing oats in Australia.

All the favourite brands that I ever knew were packaged there. Btw, the oats were different by brand.

They also made and packaged a lot of muesli bars and associated other 'value adding' products under their own name and many other brands such as Nestle who now own them.

it was a rewarding and happy work place.

Just a question. I used to love Cerevite, back in the day. Is that still around?

There are heaps of empty shelves at my local Woolies - I’ve been struggling to get Vita Brits for a while from them but also the entire dog food section has been almost empty for several weeks now as well - most brands. Not sure what’s going on.

My local Foodworks still has all Uncle Tobies products.

Edit - just read the article, so that’s the dog food issue sorted too.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Uncle Toby's makes vita brits. So that's probably why it's not on the shelves.

I'm kind of getting ****ed off with the two major supermarkets dictating to suppliers.

I wish I could easily negotiate with the suppliers of milk and the other companies fighting the giants and take those products away from them.

That's disgraceful as from the article I understand the price rise is due to the drought. Not sure about the Whiskas cat food that I've noticed missing from the local Woolies shelves, that can't have oats in it as cats are carnivores, and it concerns me that I might be overloading on carbs when I'm having it on toast!
