I presume that they have a right-hand steering wheel version because of selling into South Africa?

    The minibus looks good.

    Dana 44/70 combo!
How would us plebeians with LR cheese sticks learn to cope with such astronomically strong drivetrain?

Maybe, but they also still made VB Beetles until 2006. Old school is good, but I would still want it to have sufficient new tech in it like good ABS, TC, EBD & ESC (and all the other techhie acronyms) plus diff-locks. It needs to be a cheaper alternative to the G-Wagen and have dealer support like the 70 series to succeed. I don't know how they are going to manage the second point unless they partner with a local network. I'd also like to see a wagon variant.

The Dana 44 has been called many things , one of them isn't strong. Dana 60 (same as LR Salisbury) would be a better bet IMO.

    Top speed of 96km/h.
100mm difference in wheel track front to rear axles....

Not perfect but I like the Cummins powerplant.

1.7T load capacity (including tray). Wow.

Apparently partnered with a range of OEM companies to distribute around the world, the states included pending funding- http://alkanedominator.com
