Gold Trivia -Tokyo Olympics: Russians win most medals since 2004 despite competing as ROC because of ban.

Russian athletes are going home with their most medals since 2004 even though their team, flag and anthem were officially banned from the Tokyo Olympics.

Competing as the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) as punishment for a state-sponsored doping scandal, their athletes won 20 golds among their 71 medals.

It wasn't me It wasn't Russia officially so who was it? When is a punishment not a punishment springs to mind as other trivia

Every radio bulletin I listened to today has talked about some country's record medal tally or big medal haul.

Starting to wonder if, in part, it's an artefact of the ever increasing number of events over the years.

Collapsed after handling a white substance

Why let the truth get in the way of a few days off with full pay perhaps??? "San Diego County Sheriff’s Department that shows a trainee collapsing while investigating a substance he believed to be fentanyl has been met with skepticism from medical and addiction experts"

"“The only way to overdose is from injecting, snorting or some other way of ingesting it,” said Dr. Ryan Marino, medical director of toxicology and addiction medicine at University Hospitals in Cleveland. “You cannot overdose from secondhand contact.”"

Anyone else think the gent is smiling ?

Alive and kicking. Its funny as the fear that they will get high/OD from powders is a conspiracy theory plus with policy and procedures rules and regulations for a total crock.

The very very VERY industrial level dose I got about every 5 minutes of that stuff would apparently kill any one at much lower doses. Noting I was almost dead at the time

    21.1 42.2 5 or 10km run/walks?

I am more a long run type. Not to many are as crazy. Love bikes and motor bikes so glad to see sydney bikies are long runners/ walkers as well- Those police must be PITA?

"A Comanchero bikie boss and his two brothers are among four men who are set to be fined $14,000 after they were caught breaking Sydney's lockdown by going on a late-night walk along the city's Bay Run. Police allege they caught Tarek Zahed, the bikie group's national sergeant-at-arms, his brothers Abdul and Omar and their associate Raouf Mousawel walking in Drummoyne in the city's inner-west about 2am on Thursday morning
The men allegedly became angry when police questioned why they were outside, and claimed they lived together and were 'just exercising'.
Abdul and Omar Zahed are believed to live in Yagoona in Sydney's south-west - more than 20km away from where they were allegedly spotted by police,"

Good Anglo Saxon names could be a giveaway.

So, a genuine mistake. They were on a 40km nature exercise walk checking on the Nocturnal Habits of Currawongs' & just got a tad disorientated. Any fool could do that.

2am? Wonder if they were tooled up with mischief in mind.

It'll be fun getting the dosh out of them all.
