Lost - really is it me your looking for

A few drinks- what could go wrong?

Turkey: '''Missing''' man joins search party looking for himself - BBC News

A missing man in Turkey accidentally joined his own search party for hours before realising he was the person they were looking for, local media reports.

Beyhan Mutlu had been drinking with friends on Tuesday when he wandered into a forest in Bursa province.

When he failed to return, his wife and friends alerted local authorities and a search party was sent out.

Mr Mutlu, 50, then stumbled across the search party and decided to join them, NTV reported.

But when members of the search party began calling out his name, he replied: "I am here."

Off to space with Capt Kirk -Star Trekkin'

    Classic

US tech billionaire Jeff Bezos's space travel company Blue Origin confirmed that William Shatner would be blasting off from Texas on 12 October.

Aged 90, the actor will become the oldest person to have flown into space.

"I've heard about space for a long time now. I'm taking the opportunity to see it for myself. What a miracle," Shatner said in a statement.

Captain Kirk: Bezos''' Blue Origin to send William Shatner into space - BBC News

Real trivia- He is not the first "Sir Richard told The Sun newspaper at the time it was because Shatner has a fear of flying. But in 2011 the actor said he had turned down the offer because the billionaire allegedly wanted him to pay for the journey.

"He wanted me to go up and pay for it and I said: 'Hey, you pay me and I'll go up. I'll risk my life for a large sum of money.' But he didn't pick me up on my offer," Shatner told reporters.

The Star Trek star will not however be the first original cast member to leave the planet.

Last year The Times revealed that the ashes of James Doohan, who played Montgomery "Scotty" Scott, were smuggled on board the International Space Station in 2008, three years after Doohan's death.

The silly bastard, when he gets to wherever he thinks Space is he still won't be able to see it, he may as well go to Brisvegas. There is a great deal of lack of space there as well.

How aborigines found native honey stores.

From Eyre's Journals: Journals Of Expeditions Of Discovery Into Central Australia

'Honey is procured by steeping the cones of the Banksia or other melliferous flowers in water. It is procured pure from the hives of the native bees, found in cavities of rocks, and the hollow branches of trees. The method of discovering the hive is ingenious. Having caught one of the honey bees, which in size exceeds very little the common house fly, the native sticks a piece of feather or white down to it with gum, and then letting it go, sets off after it as fast as he can: keeping his eye steadily fixed upon the insect, he rushes along like a madman, tumbling over trees and bushes that lie in his way, but rarely losing sight of his object, until conducted to its well-filled store, he is amply paid for all his trouble. The honey is not so firm as that of the English bee, but is of very fine flavour and quality.'

The practice is only sustainable in the northern half of the continent.

Search for spearfisher suspended after police find 26yo's clothes, flippers, on ocean

"Search for spearfisher suspended after police find 26yo's clothes, flippers, on ocean floor
" "Police say they have found items belonging to a Cairns spearfisherman near where he went missing on Saturday afternoon."

sad - the trivia now. I have myself a few times

""The items that were located by police divers on Sunday afternoon were in close vicinity of the boat, which was still anchored there.""

Would you get in the water searching? I have myself a few times despite knowing a big bitey thing was about. I did on some of those occasions know the big bitey thing was probably NOT hungry. I wonder if the Police Divers in QLD thought that as well is the trivia.

Commiseration to the family and mates of Mr Torrance Sambo.

Oh how wish I was adept with Photo shop? I'd have a 50' White Pointer heading your way with it's chompers wide open. Maybe the caption could read summat like "HE'S BEHIND YOU"

    ****, TOO LATE."

The thing would have even scared the pants off your ship because it wouldn't even be in shot.
They could have done a Capt George Erikson & dropped a couple of Depth Charges & at the very least it would have caught next day's Dinner.

BTW, is that big dark shadow in front of you a **** trail or maybe light refraction?

We've missed out on finding one of the world's last treasures. Forrest Fenn hid a treasure worth about a million USD and wrote a poem as a clue and eventually a med student found it. Although five people died searching for it.
