Whoops Wrong side of that bloody low bridge

There are plans to take apart, and then reassemble, a historic bridge in Rotterdam to allow a superyacht built for billionaire Jeff Bezos to leave a shipyard.
The luxury yacht, linked to the world's richest man, is being built by Dutch firm Oceanco. The vessel is reported to be 127m long and too tall to fit through the Koningshaven Bridge.
Rotterdam's mayor has denied any decision has been made to dismantle the bridge, saying he has not received a request.

The video is worth watching- Very very funny

The vision I saw of the boat didn't look all that wide or high but assuming the three masts are removed ( assuming it will have one) it should be a doddle. You then plonk the masts in down stream but maybe that is me being logical & shirley somebody has considered this )

When I first heard that this was going to happen & the natives were not happy I thought it was one of the Famous Transporter Bridges in the North of the UK & there are only 2 or 3 of those in commission I understand.

Was surprised when I realised it was in Holland so I ceased to ****ing care & let Bezos pay for everything.

EDIT Meanwhile the Mayor is saying it is a load of bollocks (in Dutch of course) & that would be .........

Coruption? 200 years and still the only ones :)

"Curling is back in the spotlight at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics - and all the stones used by the competitors originate from an uninhabited Scottish island.

They are hand-crafted at Kays Curling's workshop in Mauchline, Ayrshire, using granite from the island of Ailsa Craig.

The company's stones are the only ones used in competition by the World Curling Federation.

Kays Curling was founded in 1851, and has been providing curling stones for the Winter Olympics since the Chamonix Games in 1924.

"The history books tell us that curling stones have been made from Ailsa Craig material for probably at least 200 years now.

Impressive effort Asterix and Obelix would be impressed I think

The stones, or rocks in American parlance, is only mined in two places worldwide. One mine in France and an island in Scotland that surrenders two different types of granite, both approved for curling.

My hair isn't long enough OG, to justify a trip the the Hairdresser.

I could do with a Blue Rinse for colour though.

Which leads onto why belly button fluff is blue.

    1. A lot of washing powders (and maybe liquids) contain a blue dye (remember the 'blue beads of bleach' ad?) which dyes whites slightly blue to make them look whiter as opposed to slightly yellowish.

    2. If you have no stomach hair you won't get belly button fluff. It migrates upwards as the loose strands of (blue dyed) cotton in your underwear. Needs stomach hair to get to get up to the recluse.

There were several Phd's gained out of this over the years.
