Anyway,a few months later we moved to Daisy Hill,which was out in the sticks and a fringe suburb in the day.
We built a huge cage for her.We had her for over 20yrs,sadly,she ended getting an incurable degenerative disease.
A great pet,when on the running line she would chase after a thrown cork cricket ball and bring it back.

No idea what happened to it in later years when the SE Freeway was built & it became bypassed. Pub closed although it was a popular week end Dining joint & I haven't been that road for years being right off the beaten track although not that far from Chez Bee but last reports the building was still there but I doubt Friend Iggle was, it being, long gone.
The building of the two Heysen Tunnels (2) through that range would have really been curtains for it.

Funny the things you recall until a reminder is seen. Thanks,[biggrin] I must have been about 7 or 8 at that time & really enjoyed those trips out, loaded with Drums of Golden Fleece Petrol. (HC Sleigh) Mount Gambier in the SE was seen as was Marribel (sp) in the north of SA & all points in between that I can recall [bighmmm][bigsad]

There were also two in a cage at a servo at the Esk turnoff west of Ipswich for years.

Yes its real weird what you sometimes remember.I have been away quite a lot with my next brother down,and we would talk,he would remember things i have totally forgotton,and visa versa.
Good example,we took the old S1 to Fraser,a few months ago,and we were debating tyre pressures.I said Dad always ran 20PSI in the sand.Really, he said,cant remember that.We ran them at 20,went fine.
About two months later,sure enough,in the old mans diary,there it was,"tyre pressures Fraser Island 20 PSi,"Goodyear" something,High miler or something.
