I pretty much grew up in one, (although not the auto) a CKD knockdown, assembled in Brisbane version. It was plated as a '67, but was actually a US '65.

Engine was a 230 cu in OHC 6 cylinder. 4 main bearing crank, common cam lobes for the inlet and exhaust with a really beefy timing chain driving it, very different to the modern roller chain.
Originally a Warner 3 speed manual, Dad had the T98a Warner 'box installed that used a 6.9:1 granny 1st gear out of the Gladiator ute. That helped a lot as the Dana 20 t/case only had a 2.03:1 lo range. (and 4.27:1 diffs)
Land Rovers had the reputation of snapping axles back then, but the Dana 44 in the rear of the Wagoneer only had taper ends and a woodruff key driving the drive flanges!!

Seventy years ago our family swapped houses with my father's sister's family at Yanco for the school holidays, with our family able to use their car. (And bikes - this is where I learned to ride a bike) We used it for a day or two, and then just as we returned to the house it stopped driving. Turned out that just before the holidays, the back hubs had been off, presumably to service the wheel bearings, and had been assembled without the keys. (1929 Pontiac)

· The ship was en-route to a Turkish scrapyard to be taken apart, but was denied entry.
· It's believed to contain asbestos, and the Brazilian army now plans to abandon it in international waters.

Bit sad for the old girl "NAe São Paulo (pennant number A12) was a Clemenceau-class aircraft carrier in service with the Brazilian Navy. São Paulo was first commissioned in 1963 by the French Navy as Foch and was transferred in 2000 to Brazil, where she became the new flagship of the Brazilian Navy."

The Navy in Bazil will put it right and send her to Davey Jones I sort of hope in about 200 metres
