This news about the new coin prompted a discussion on coins here (I have grandkids at the moment), and I told the 18yo he could look through what is in the safe. He was staggered to find a cylindrical aluminium pill box full of circular 50c coins. Or to be more accurate, was staggered to find that they were 50c - he thought they were 20c until I told him to look at the number on the back.
this is totally useless but the royal mint has released it's first coin with the kings head on it, being a $1 coin.
dont know whether to get a few from the bank for my collection, suppose I should get some 2023 his and hers if there are 2023 hers.

My kids think I am nuts as planning a few 10km runs this week starting today.
PS I am a runner not a rider and my only other ride in the last several months was a few weeks ago. That I admit is a bit nuts[bigrolf]
Due to a "fail to proceed" event in the Range Rover, I had to resort to borrowing a Rav 4. Happy to report the wipers were faultless, despite the lack of precipitation. The wipers were tested at every intersection. [bigwhistle]
