IMHO, these days I believe there has to be much better "Policing" of Australian stuff that may affect the rest of us & our interests. Property sales seem to be targeted but alas a bit late.

OKA (to India) would be just one & the Belt & Roads issue is another. How is it possible for one state government, well two actually, if Darwin Port is included, to enter into "secret" arrangements that will affect the rest of Australia?
I realise we have been here before but I believe things really need to change to look after our interests. China seems to have had a history of Stealing other country's technologies & as for allowing thousands of Chinese to "invade" our country under the pretext of studying at our Universities is stupid in the extreme. What will they put back into our economy? Just more threats like silly school boy bullies.

Vice Chancellors will be laughing all the way to the banks.

Already I see online that 68% of Australians would prefer not to buy Chinese junk. (OOPS, rubbish.) Source. The Guardian.

Sure there will be supply problems but we really have to start somewhere & the sooner the better.

We cannot afford to be held to Ransom by another Country with their tantrums.

    hands-free driving

05:59 PM EDT, 06/18/2020 (MT Newswires) -- Ford Motor (F) said Thursday it will offer active drive assist across the Mustang Mach-E lineup that allows for hands-free driving on more than 100,000 miles of divided highways in the US and Canada.

The automaker has also started introducing the offering on other 2021 vehicles.
    Price: 6.35, Change: +0.03, Percent Change: +0.40

Not trivial is some ways as I am unlikely to ever drive a Ford again. I see more than a few HANDSFREE drivers usually applying makeup, phone calls or very passionate hand gestures

    Into The Wild

    Into The Wild
1992 the bus was inhabited by 24-year-old adventurer Chris McCandless, who eventually died of starvation. Film inspires people to go to bus. The get lost, break bones, drown..... Remove the bus removes the visit vector I guess.

If the bus could get there I suspect many of our Landrovers might have fun trying A Flying bus is not something I see every day

    Expensive Garden Soil

Took the 'tilly into town to get a 1m³ of soil to top up a couple of vegie gardens we're redoing. Came home with the soil and a new chainsaw. I've always though that a 16" bar would be handy between the 14" and 21" I already own so, I grabbed one today.
On the way home I was considering if this was a case of compulsive buying. I finally talked myself into believing that the purchase was made out of necessity.

If the UK was asked about us they would probably say Australophobia.

Nothing to see here, please move right along.
