    Trivia and trivial is relative

Trivia and trivial is relative. Two gents one in a wheel chair asked for Coffee food suggestion yesterday. Brief chat re being flat out, wheelchair. Crutches- mad bike rider with Crutches....

He and his mate took both coffee and food tips. He may or may not walk again.

My leg tibia is likely broken- stress fracture two weeks ago while running.

Relatively speaking I am so bloody lucky comparatively. Trivial choice may be rip the expensive titanium rod out of my tibia and patch up bone graft or just walk and not do my sick hobby of long distance running ever again

PS happily saw a very cool physiologist for a while. No shame in that at all. Getting help if needed is HELPFUL Ignoring big issues is not cool ever.

    Thank you Tins. Legendary Sir

How not to drive a BIG ship

Ramming wharves in Hobart- Nuclear armed pom on a reef in QLD that had to be put on a ship to be taken back to England for repairs

This skipper will have a red face in front of most sailors I suspect

Egypt's Suez Canal has been blocked by a large container ship that ran aground while turning in the narrow channel, vessel tracking sites show.

Several tug boats were deployed to help shift the 59m (194ft) wide vessel, the Ever Given, which has been causing a build-up of shipping traffic.

Control Kiosk. "Come in Ever Given, your time is up
Possible extra charge for not returning on time is 20 Million $ per hour."

Marvelous what a puff of Wind can do to a Container Ship. Presumably.

Capt. to Helmsman/person. "Bloody hell Sinbad couldn't you see the ripples on the water? Boss is going to kick our arses now & deduct our wages".

Was that the RN ship that grounded in the Pacific, HMS Nottingham or summat?

If it is of the right size it could become a new set of Gudgeon Pins for some one with a spare bit of cash.

Bugger. The rock that "killed" HMS Nottingham has a "sister" rock (Rockall) off North Western Scotland in the Atlantic although much larger.

For those who read The Cruel Sea it was a huge granite rock just sitting out of the sea where Saltash patrolled for a few days waiting for surrendered U boats to arrive. She patrolled in an area of 5 Miles by 5 Miles around the rock of Rockall until one bobbed up & played silly buggers with Saltash, until Ericson ordered a 4" round to be put over the Conning Tower & that smartened their ideas up.

I had wondered whether it was a fictitious location to fit Nicholas Montserrat's story line but found it actually exists.

So if you can be arsed Google ROCKALL. Lots of images

    Oh alright then.Rockall - Wikipedia
