North and South- they are related right?

    Loving the Olympics myself.

Olympic organisers have issued an apology after the South Korean team were mistakenly introduced as North Korea during the opening ceremony in Paris.
" blunder of the night came as the boat carrying the South Korean competitors passed onlookers, only for the athletes on board to be introduced as as the ‘Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’ – the official name of North Korea."

" Achaotic start to the Paris Olympics has taken another turn for the worse after the Sunday’s first training session for triathletes has been postponed.
The swimming section of one of the Games’ most physically demanding events had been scheduled to take place in the River Seine, but has been pushed back due to concerns of the quality of the water.

Are you saying, you'd have to be InSeine to take part in it?

WHO did the Floater is my question

    ...................
20 odd years ago Melby Water embarked on a mission to literally smoke out sewerage systems connected to the stormwater system, that ends up in Port Philip Bay.

The concern was due to high Ecoli levels in the bay after heavy rain.

They put smoke in the stormwater system outside various premises and watched to see if it came out of the air vents around eaves. Found a few illegal connections but nowhere near enough to explain the high Ecoli levels.

It then dawned on someone that.the problem was actually caused by the hundreds of thousands of dogs being taken for 'walks'.

This lead to the mandatory use of the little black plastic bags we see everywhere today.

Are dogs still welcome in restaurants in France? Would the French actually stoop low enough to pick up after them?

That would be the Germans floating all there crap down it..
Knowing the French it could be theirs to prove the point they would have a RED, WHITE< & Bluer Flag on it with a Marine Band playing along with the Marseillaise.

I have absolutely no interest in the Olympics. I couldn't care less who wins or loses. I haven't watched an Olympic event in over 40 years - maybe longer.

As I don't watch TV news or listen to the radio, I'm not subjected to hearing about it either.

I worked at the Sydney Games. People were envious, but I didn't watch one event, and didn't want to... Well, beach volleyball had some attractions I guess.

Life would be much nicer cruising on our bikes with no TV, Radio or news Suspect your thoughts are not trivial Ron. Common sense in avoiding rubbish and sensationalist rhetoric would make life far more relaxing sir.

I miss my motorcycle(s) a LOT on days like today except that its 10ish degrees and raining out side here in Mexico. See Rant in CA for my thoughts on Mexico or avoid like the plague if you want to keep blood pressure at better levels
