if you are talking 24hr time clock 8:30 doesnt exist

its 0830 which is am and 2030 which is pm

but you dont say 0830am or 2030pm simply 0830hrs and 2030hrs

Wifey had some TV weather show on and whilst I was within earshot, I heard these words uttered by the apparently influential, talking head host:

Now, two things here. I've always taken the abbreviation 'a.m.' to represent the morn and secondly, for all my 68 years on this piece of cosmic debris, I've believed, without any good reason to question the notion, that good, old Sol always appeared in the morning!
