    Cool Long Service.

Whilst I was driving back from Melbourne today, had time to "ponder",, as you do. Taking the "long way home" will always allow for reflecting/thinking time,,, God I do love driving,, and the permagrin is still awesome.

So, it seems I'm due for a break,, "Long Service Leave" I believe this is what they call it (Can I get pay with that? )

Its been a great ten year stint,, and looking forward to the next ten years

I've had a lot of fun,, sometimes at the expense of others ,,,
I've learnt heaps,, although probably regarded by some as mostly useless facts
I guess the most important thing though,, damn I've met a lot of people through here and Land Rovers, and made some awesome long term friends along the way

We've got our Winter Wombat in a couple of weeks,, will be sure to have a celebratory drink on Saturday night. Cheers folks.

So peeps,, here's to the next ten years,, hope to meet a few more along the way too,, especially when we start our trip.

    Cheers Chops.

In '05 I took 14 weeks, threw the Engel, a bit of clobber and the swag in the back of the D1, kissed the Light of My Life goodbye and wandered off into the wild North, West and Centre for the duration.
I've just upgraded to one of the more dome type swags and now being retired am thinking of going walkabout again.
The good woman is very understanding or wants to get rid of me. I'm certain it's the former!

It's sooo good not to have a fixed time frame or agenda.

Enjoy your time, Chops and hopefully, we may catch up. (But definitely not at Wombat)

If it's approved the plan is Katherine-Darwin-Savannah Way- Cape York and a right turn south down the inland.

My dear Sir, I am not one who partakes in the consumption of the beverage that seems to create a caffeine reliance . I much prefer my 6 cups of quality, black tea daily and I'll have you know that I was gainfully employed until attaining the age of 61 years and 2 months.

Geez, you're a youngster. I'm 66 next month and still gainfully employed (sometimes).
