I tried 4wding with a dog a few times, but I couldnt find one big enough to carry me, so I bought a Landrover instead.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>I have a dog (labrador) but I&#39;d never take him 4WDing - i don&#39;t believe in dogs being taken on group trips. Why should others have to put up with someone elses dogs?

If we go away, we board the dog in a kennel.

as for your coments ron jesus why would anyone have to put up with my dogs&#33; it&#39;s not like i&#39;m gunna be asking people to walk them while i sit in the car and have fun off roading......when i go off roading i spend 90% of the time out of the car filming, so i would no doubt have the dogs out of the car on the lead........
and i don&#39;t intend on getting yappie dogs like a ****zu......i would be to frightened that someone would pick it up and use it for a wheel chock while they winched

and as for going out in a group well i wouldn&#39;t go out with people that had issues with me taking a dog&#33;&#33;
also the question was mainly about if me and ian wanted to go away for a weekend as well not just in a group....

I like to take my dog with us if we can. The reality is if someone does not like dogs then they do not have to come with us. That simple. I am very cautious though especially where other dogs are concerned. Not everyone actually has any respect for others when they take dogs though.

My sentiments exactly

They love nothing more than time in the bush. Just watch out on the bumpy stuff. I have them in a harness...stops them head-butting the windows

Ours love it too, no harness they have claws of steel

I did the Gunbarrel Highway, Victoria River District and Gibb River Road with my mate&#39;s dog, Herbert.

4 blokes, one dog and all their for 5 weeks in one Defender. We agreed having Herb along was one of the many great things about the trip.

Then there was the time I planned a camping trip and was going to take a dog along, but I thought better of it and took her sister who was better looking.

I personally dont care, socialising with other dogs would probably do Cleo some good but Stacey is worried about them getting hurt. I understand and support it, but if it were solely up to me i couldnt care less. Matt

I love spending time with my dogs, the trouble is that they&#39;re such an anti social pair of bastards.
They just go any other dog that comes within range of their teeth.
Bloody small dog syndrome.
If given time to get to know other dogs eventually they get better.
They&#39;re lovely boys, but just too yappie around other dogs.

Depends where you camp. I wouldn&#39;t want to be camped and to have someone and their dog(s) near my campsite. Too many (I&#39;m not saying you) people don&#39;t control their dogs.

That&#39;d be me. Equally, I don&#39;t like kids. I think dogs may be better.
