Well the old girl was due for rego and she was suffering, so one one of those spur things on the weekend we have traded in the '88 classic (5 speed manual & loud) for a 2000 P38.
Oh good what have I done???
I do not actually do the swap till Saturday.
Some one tell me its the right thing to do!
I saw a thread that said that the Feb LROI had aP38 decked out for tripping. Does anyone know a Newsagent in Newcastle that still sells LROI at all? (and then how to get my hands on Feb issue)
With the P38, where can I get decent side steps, some roof bars etc.
Where will I mount the CB and UHF???? Bull bar for arials, but the units them selves will fit, ummmmm.?
Also the goal is to fit gas (have on a auto 4.6L), so is there anybody in Newcastle or sydney recomended for this?
Anyone done this. Anyone done direct injection?
Also has that big pregnate fuel tank hanging under the belly been a problem off road?
PS I seem to have more me room in the classic than in the P38.

Good Move
a stock P38 is great off road just needs more suspension travel and a uni-chip to improve economy and power.
I have put the p38 through place that some range rover owners would be ashamed to talk about and have never had an issue with the fuel tank.
I had Discoute (on this forum) aka Glen from brother's offroad make me a set of rock sliders (which I have put to good use) and we are in the process of designing and manufacturing a front airbag compatible bulbar and a rear bar with tyre carrier as a 33" tyre doesn't fit in the tyre space.
