Just got 34.8mm in even time. House tanks are full and the 3x22000 litres garden tanks are at 3/5ths

It may rejuvenate our house yard grass.

We had 21mm in about ten minutes on Saturday evening, together with sustained 50knot (90kmh) winds . I spent part of today removing trees from roads and fences, more to do. Fortunately it was SW, so the hill next to the house protected us from the worst. I have not been to the top of the hill yet!

Widespread damage reported throughout the area, for example Narromine High lost part of its roof.

    Have now recorded 54.4mm

Now the ground is wet, we need around another 250mm for runoff into the dam

We got some rain last night around 7PM for about half an hour , not sure how much as my rain gauge has suffered from the heat & lack of rain & plastic bracket has gone out of shape & gauge fallen on ground & broken Anyway at the moment we have to be satisfied with what we got because anything more than 4 drops is a downpour

We got 19 mm in the first lot, 3 mm in the second. The grass, which has been dormant for ages, is about 2mm higher today. I'd better check if my mower is still where I put it.
