    We only had 3mm overnight, and not much more on Saturday, just a consistent easterly and a bit of light rain. Not necessarily a bad thing though, its plenty wet enough. It's been raining gently in Canberra this morning but they get more from an easterly weather pattern than we do at Yass.

    Was keeping an eye on the wave height buoy readings in the ocean east of the heads during the big storm that smashed some windows on the Tassie ferry some years ago.

    Steady readings of big swell and wave period then it went down to bumping along near zero............. i.e. by then it was sitting on the beach still reading and transmitting till it 'died'.

    Our average over the last 5 days is 80mm a day here on the coffs coast, should get another 100+mm again today.
