Fly swatter/s actually. I prefer the satisfying sound of a bug zapper, especially if it takes awhile and I smell smoke then I know it was a big one.

I grew up in sheep country. Daggy bums on sheep meant maggots and flies.

    Funny old world, isn't it?

With the introduction of sheep and cattle to Australia, by the settlers, came an increase in food for birds. This was the result of the bush flies having more dung to recycle and so breeding increased.
With the increase in fly population also came the benefit of better pollination of certain crops and flowers. Flies can be as good at pollination on various crops as the feral, honey bee.

Flies existed way before humans and will outlast us as well.

And then the dung beetles got introduced to deal with the dung of the introduced animals, reducing the fly population again.

Gawd! Poor old poster needs a few spelling lessons as well.
"Well there still comming "...... bit like the notice in my local which stated about tickets to see some clown do something or other..."When there gone there gone"
I did point this out to several staff members and got complete indifference .."Who cares", "What's it to do with you", "Sod off"..... and just a more polite shrug from one.
Actually it's now one of my only pleasures left in life, bringing peoples attention to their bloody awful spelling, grammatical errors and overuse/non use of the poor old apostrophe.

PS. Actually a girl in a pub in Canarvon WA immediately got out crayons and rectified mistakes on boards when I politely pointed them out to her so they're not all thicko horrid types.

Actually there is a theory that the so called civilised northern hemisphere peoples contracted and/or built up an immunity to animal borne diseases, due to bringing them in to their dwellings during winter, unfortunately this later helped to decimate the New World populations with comparatively very little effort.

No have not found were they are coming in but the numbers are decreasing each day , only found a couple yesterday. The automatic fly spray seams to be working, saves me having to chase them around to spray them just have to go around couple of times a day with a dust pan to pick up the bodies .
