Why the apostrophe? One never uses an apostrophe for plurals - the apostrophe is only used for possessive case, e.g., "I hate the greengrocer's apostrophe." or contraction, e.g., "It's a great car."
The plural is flies.
In the last week we have had hundreds of large fly's (not blow fly's) in our house & it has got me beat how they are getting in. The house is fully screened . Yesterday morning when we left home at 8am there were no fly's but when we arrived home around 7pm there were around 50 on the kitchen & rumpus room blinds . It took 4 sprays of a very well known fly spray ( in a red can) that says FAST KNOCKDOWN on the can. About an hour later there were about another 20 & that continued through the night until I went to bed around 11.30pm. On waking this morning around 5am there were about another 50 & I am still killing them two & a half hr's later. The strange thing is there dose not seam to be any out side the house so I am thinking they are hatching some were in the house but can't for the life of me work out were.
AS I AM TYPING THIS THERE IS ONE FLYING ACROSS THE COMPUTER SCREEN.![]()
I remember my daughter had this problem a couple of years back & I bought her one of those automatic sprays that that you could set how many times per hour it sprayed seamed to work well so may head off to Woolworths to day & buy one. The fly's are really getting to me.![]()

Dead possum in the roof?
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
We get them every time the slow cooker gets put on
Not in the numbers you have only 2 or 3 (enough to **** you off) and there bloody cunning ******, they see the fly swat and zig zag around the place so you can’t get them
I end up giving up and leave the kids too it
Same deal we can’t work out where the hell they get in, they just magically appear
I reckon your right
Something dead in the roof

Yep, dead animal in a dark place in the wall or roof. The inside of your house has the only opening that is a source of light to which they are attracted to. That is why they are ending up inside.
Cheers,
